Thyroid Disorders

Thyroid surgical procedures are similarly advanced, utilizing intraoperative neurophysiologic monitoring of laryngeal nerves, minimally invasive surgical approaches, and concurrent lymphatic dissection when needed for thyroid cancer management.  Many thyroid procedures can be accomplished on an ambulatory basis, without surgical drains or the need for suture removal.  Your surgeon will personally address these issues preoperatively.

Parathyroid Disorders

The head and neck specialty surgeons at Tucson ENT offer state-of-the-art, experienced care for the evaluation and surgical treatment of parathyroid disorders.  In-office ultrasonography performed by our physicians, preoperative sestamibi parathyroid scanning, and consultation with our endocrinology colleagues are coordinated to maximize surgical success.  Surgeon experience with parathyroid procedures is commensurate with high success and low complication rates.

Parathyroid surgical procedures are similarly advanced, utilizing intraoperative neurophysiologic monitoring of laryngeal nerves, minimally invasive radioguided surgical approaches, and rapid intraoperative parathyroid hormone testing, all to minimize surgical time and trauma and maximize success rates.  Many parathyroid procedures can be accomplished on an ambulatory basis, without surgical drains or the need for suture removal.  Your surgeon will personally address these issues preoperatively.
